Any filling not lumpy for stuffed items?
I want to make some stuffed things- pillows for one, big plush animals for another- but all the fill I’ve used to date is or gets lumpy (especially in smaller projects with thinner fabric). I’ve processed it by pulling it into bits, near fibers and trying to make them all gather together but.. it seems to make things worse. -.-
I’m new at this, obviously.
Am I missing something? Do I need to do some special process to make the fill not clump? Is there any filling that doesn’t come in clustered lumps to begin with?
I used foam sheets. You can buy it in the thickness you want and use scissors or a razor knife to cut to size. Since you are making all sorts of different things you can use scraps for some. The only time it clumped was when I tried to pack it too thick to make it firmer. Instead buy the firmness you want. I got mine at a upholstery store because of the variety. But craft stores and Wal-Mart has some and its cheaper.
