Microwave Heating Pillows
I’m having a yard sale and I need help with pricing things?

I am having a yard sale this weekend and i just realized I have no idea how much I should price things at. I don’t want to rip myself or others off. Is there a general rule of thumb?

here or some of the things that I have…
shoes (in good condition/ dress, tennis, casual, work, flip flops)
Clothes (t-shirts, dress clothes, casual all in good condt, in-style, and some name brands)
nick nacks
small table
microwave
heated hair rollers that have only been used once
nail polish
movies/ dvds/ cds
pillows
picture frames
wall decor (pictures/ posters)
and more.

Thank you for your help!
Oh, I am also selling a relatively old cd player and portable cd player (both work)

Where are you located? I am going out to yard sales inthe morning LOL.
It’s really just according to where you live as to what you’d charge for different things. I’ve found that if you live in a “rich” neighborhood ( close to a pretty large city most times they have the lower prices).. but if it’s just in a “regular” neighborhoodsmaller town, they have higher prices. or atleast where we live do.
here are some prices i have seen for the thigns you have listed.
shoes 25 cents to a dollar clothes 25 cents, to 3 or 4 dollars nick naks 25 cents to a dollar small table 5 bucks? or 10? microwave 15.00? nail polish a quarter? movies ect 1 to 3 dollars, wall decor 1 to 5 dollars. hope that helps a little. and hope ya have good luck!

Microwave Heat Pillows
What is the best way to remove a Jell-O stain from a pillow?

Every morning I can only think about Jell-O until I finally eat my first Jell-O snack pack fresh out of the microwave. However, this morning I did not realize I had my pillowcase with the pillow still in it wrapped around my foot when I stumbled into the kitchen.

The pillow fell out of the pillowcase, but the pillowcase was still wrapped around my foot. I was walking back to sit at the kitchen table to eat my warm Jell-O, but I tripped on the pillowcase and the Jell-O spilled right onto the pillow! I also hit my elbow really hard on the tile floor.

The pillow I stained is a down-filled pillow, and I am not sure what is the best way to wash this in order to remove the lime Jell-O stain. The heat probably set the stain in pretty well, eh?

simpley mix up a paste of ketchup and mustard and spread it on your pillow. let it soak in overnight. In the morning just stuff that puppy in the kitchen sink and rinse it off.

The ketchup and mustard stain will probly cover up the jell-o stain. youll have a nice red stain on it instead!

Dandruff

Dandruff is a mild form of seborrheic dermatitis and is evidenced by the itching and flaking of the scalp. It can also affect the ears, eyebrows and forehead. If your dandruff is persistent, accompanied by itch and inflammation, it could indicate another skin condition, such as seborrhea (waxy, tan flakes) or psoriasis (fishlike scales). If this is the case check with your dermatologist because the treatments will be different than for the traditional dandruff discussed here. The mild scalp inflammation is caused by the body’s reaction to the Pityrosporum yeast and to products that break down oils. Pityrosporum constitutes the major part of skin flora. You suffer from dandruff when the normal limit of 46% of Pityrosporum increases up to the 74% mark. Reduce your sugar intake from confectionary immediately.

Part of the reason dandruff occurs is that skin oils in the scalp are thick and acidic, largely from a diet of saturated fat. Thick secretions of skin and dried oil flake off-that’s what dandruff is. But if you get a person to clean up their diet by eliminating the junk food, animal fats and heavy plant oils such as palm and coconut and to eat more of the good fats that are found in nuts and seeds, dandruff often improves greatly or disappears. Flaxseed oil or vitamin E oil – apply these oils to the scalp nightly and wash off in the morning. They can soothe and nourish the scalp. Use an old sheet or towel to protect your pillow.

Essential Fatty Acid

Essential fatty acids are critical in the production of prostaglandins.  In the body prostaglandins help regulate fat metabolism, inflammatory response, hormones, as well as the cardiovascular, immune and central nervous systems.  To restore the proper Omega-6 / Omega-3 balance, doctors recommend dietary supplementation of Omega-3 rich flax oil. Selenium acts as an anti-fungal agent and can be found in Brazil Nuts.

Add evening primrose oil to your diet as it contain gamma linolenic acid (GLA), an essential fatty acid hard to get in the diet that helps hair, skin and nails look healthy. Many people who are on low or no-fat diets lack essential fatty acids. Start with 500 mg twice a day, if the dandruff starts to clear up, cut the dose in half. It may take up to two months to begin seeing results. Vitamin E relieves itching and reduces scaling.

Apple Cider Vinegar

Apple cider vinegar will help restore the proper acid/alkaline balance of the scalp and kill bacteria that clog the pores that release oil to the scalp. Apple cider vinegar is rich in alpha-hydroxy acids, helping to dissolve fatty deposits on the skin’s surface and reducing scaly conditions, promoting a softer, smoother appearance. The clogged pores result in scales and crusts being formed. Apply apple cider vinegar diluted 50% with water to the scalp and let dry. There is no need to rinse. Another similar remedy suggests pouring two tablespoons into a cup, applying the straight vinegar to the scalp, and leaving it on from 15 minutes to three hours before shampooing. Lemon juice may also be used. These remedies help bring the scalp back into chemical balance. Add a few drops of the following essential oils Tea tree, Rosemary and Lemon oil, these oils help to keep the scalp in balance.

Homeopathy

Several homeopathic remedies can help you shake off dandruff, one of the following 6C remedies three times a day for up to two weeks. If your dandruff is thick, you scratch your head a lot at night, your scalp burns and washing your hair makes your scalp even drier, try Sulphur. If there are moist, smelly spots behind your ears, your itching is worsened by heat and you feel as if there were insect bites along the hairline of your forehead, Oleander may be the remedy for you. Sepia will help soothe a scalp that is moist, greasy and sensitive near the hair roots. Use as directed by manufacturer.
