Since i have minor scoliosis will i get taller if i sit up straight more often and use special pillows if i?
CUrrently i am 5ft10 and 17 and have an armspan of 6ft2. My father is 6ft3. If i sit up straight more often and use special pillows
when sleeping will the hump in my back due to scoliosis lessen and will i get taller.
I don’t think so. Sitting straight won’t correct scoliosis. Just thinking about the difference in your arm span and your height, it may be that you have a moderate to major curve. (You could be just long-limbed, though.)
I’d recommend seeing a scoliosis specialist to evaluate your back. After you’re examined, the advice you get will depend on the size of your curve, how much growing you have left to do, if you’re in pain, and if you’re heart and lungs are being squeezed by your curve, amongst other things.
If you’re still growing, you may benefit from bracing. If you have a curve greater than 45 degrees, you may be a candidate for surgery. Straightening your spine through surgery will increase your height, but you should *never* consider spine fusion only for cosmetic reasons.

how much would i get for a used ipod video?
is 90 dollars a good price? i wanted to sell it on ebay and i need a good price.
it is really scrached up and it is a 30 gig ipod video. i was planning to sell it along with 2 nice ipod pillows, speakers, and the charger. is that a good price?
I’d try for $160 (as a buy it now option) because it comes with the stuff, although $90 isn’t bad as a starting bid.

Acne Herbal Remedies – Acne Remedies to Combat Your Stubborn Acne
When you’re looking for acne herbal remedies, start at the grocery store! You don’t have to live near an organic market to start getting rid of your acne with natural ingredients.
There are many supplements you can use as acne herbal remedies. Zinc is the best supplement I’ve found, as it kills the bacteria acne collects, and it staves off colds and the flu. I usually buy my Zinc supplements at Target or Wal-Mart in 50 mg tablets. Don’t take more than one tablet per day; however, as you can overdose yourself, and make sure it’s taken with a full lunch.
Another great herbal remedy is eating flax seeds. These can be purchased at your local grocery store, usually in the nut aisle. You can also buy them at an organic store, but you can expect to pay more here. If you don’t like eating them plain, simply toss a 1/8 cup of flax seeds into a lettuce or spinach salad.
If you want acne herbal remedies that are topical, invest in some quality honey. You don’t necessarily have to buy the most expensive brand at the grocery store, but try not to get the stuff that’s really sweet. If you can get a hold of organic honey, this could be your best bet, but if not, the traditional honey from the grocery store will work, too.
To use honey, simply pour a little onto a plate or bowl so you can dab your finger in it multiple times without infecting the rest of the bottle. Alternately, you can use a Q-tip to apply the honey. Simply dab a small amount of honey on each zit, and sleep with it overnight. Try not to roll over if you can avoid it though, for as my experience has shown, it leaves your pillow quite sticky.

CPAP Nasal Masks: What Good Are They?
If you are new to the world of CPAP nasal masks, you might find the idea of sleeping with something on your nose quite disturbing. Actually, nasal masks for sleep apnea treatment is prescribed for first time users to prevent the feeling of claustrophobia, and much more.
The Advantages of the Nasal Mask
Imagine sleeping with a full face mask. Just the thought of it can turn you green. It does take time to get adjusted to the added weight and the feel of something alien straddling your face. To ease patients to the new sleeping regimen, treatment begins with the use of the CPAP nasal masks, which covers the nose and has flexible tubes connected to a small machine, the CPAP machine.

On the other side of the fence is the full-faced CPAP mask. The mask covers the mouth and nose and has a chin strip to prevent it from slipping during sleep and to help keep the mouth of the patient closed and to prevent dry mouth if the sufferer sleeps with mouth open. Unfortunately, some patients may develop allergies to the material used for the chin strap. Yet, there are models that are comfortable to wear; this can be customized to fit your sleeping posture too though it may cost more.
Sleep Apnea Cure
Sleep apnea comes in two forms, central sleep apnea and obstructive sleep apnea. The less common central sleep apnea occurs when the part of the brain fails to send the right signals to the respiratory muscles. The sufferer makes no effort to breath for seconds or worse in minutes. Obstructive sleep apnea happens when the breathing passage constricts or seals during sleep. When the air passages seals, the sufferer stops breathing for brief periods waking up periodically during the night.
Treating sleep apnea is the ultimate goal of CPAP therapy. Before patients are outfitted with CPAP nasal masks or CPAP full-face masks, their sleep is monitored to observe the length of time the airways are deprived of essential oxygen. If CPAP nasal masks are used, a slight pressure is needed to increase the amount of air intake to facilitate regular breathing without straining or forcing the body’s breathing system to work hard.
The continuous supply of regulated pressurized air is fed through the nose via a tube assuring uninterrupted sleep during the night. To ensure treatment, it is important the nasal masks fits perfectly to prevent air leaks or treatment cannot be 100% effective.
