Barbie and the 12 Dancing Princesses is a 2006 direct-to-video computer animated Barbie film directed by Greg Richardson and loosely based on the fairytale “The Twelve Dancing Princesses.” It is part of the Barbie film series and features the voice of Kelly Sheridan as the Barbie protagonist. This film was released on September 19, 2006.
Music for the film was composed by Arnie Roth. “Shine”, the end title song written by Arnie Roth, Amy Powers and Rob Hudnut, was nominated for a 2007 Emmy Award.
Plot
Barbie stars as Genevieve, a princess with eleven sisters: Ashlyn, Blair, Courtney, Delia, Edeline, Fallon, Hadley, Isla, Janessa, Kathleen and Lacey. Each princess is beautiful and different, but the twelve sisters have one thing in common: they all love to dance. They live in a castle with their widowed father, King Randolph. Randolph loves his daughters deeply, but at times can’t understand them and feels that they should act more like “proper” princesses. The girls’ adventurous and free-spirited natures are viewed as “unladylike” and “unproper” by other members of the royal society and often leads them to make rude comments about the princesses. This both disheartens and hurts Randolph. Believing his daughters need a woman’s touch, the king summons his cousin, Duchess Rowena, to the castle to help raise them. But, Rowena has her own plans, which includes getting rid of Randolph and his daughters so she can take over the kingdom.
Sensing trouble, Genevieve and her sisters try to reason with Randolph, but due to Rowena’s interference, the king doesn’t believe them and says they must listen to his cousin. Attempting to break the girls’ spirits, Rowena makes the princesses’ lives miserable by stripping the castle of everything they love and having them practice “proper” behavior, like fanning. She even banishes dancing from the castle.
Sad with the changes, the princesses find comfort in their mother’s favorite story, which tells of a magical kingdom where gold flowers grant wishes and a princess could dance at an enchanted pavilion for three nights. They later discover that the story is true. The gateway to this magic realm is a mosaic on their bedroom floor. The mosaic has twelve circular tiles, which have each princesses’ favorite flower on one and Genevieve opens it by dancing in order from oldest to youngest. They enter the magical kingdom and end up dancing the night away. Lacey, the youngest, falls and scrapes her knee. Genevieve dabs water from a nearby fountain on the cut and it instantly heals.
The next day, the girls are tired and the duchess finds their new dancing shoes worn through. Suspicious, Rowena believes that they were out dancing with princes. Meanwhile, the royal cobbler and Genevieve’s love interest, Derek, comes to fix their shoes and sees that they are covered in gold dust. While together, Genevieve asks Derek to find out what Rowena’s true intentions are. The duchess continues to deprive them of any enjoyment and prevents them from visiting or singing to their father, who has suddenly fallen ill. The doctor gives Rowena a tonic for Randolph, which she quickly disposes of, revealing that she is poisoning him. That night, Rowena has her footman, Desmond, stand guard outside the princesses’ room to find out where they go. The sisters sneak back to the magic realm and dance well into the night again. Meanwhile, Derek discovers that Rowena is stealing heirlooms from the castle and dealing with an apothecary (presumably for the poison). He hurries back to warn Genevieve and her sisters.
The next morning, the sisters are still exhausted and Rowena demands to know why. When she gangs up on Lacey, the girls tell her the truth, but she doesn’t believe them and forces them into servitude. That night, she demands the truth again, but they tell her the same story. This makes Rowena even angrier and she locks them in their room, blaming them for Randolph’s failing health. Simple way to redecorate a teen room to stay till college?
I want to redecorate my room by only changing the outer layer like the walls, the bed sheets, pillows and cushions, cuirtains and wall decor.
My wall is currently orange and has no pictures on it, i have a single bed and a double bed, a desk, a shelf and a huge closet, the new theme is purple.

Okay well if you are serious about the purple make one side of the room (preferably your fave) dark purple. The rest could stay a soft lilac white (very light). Find a duvet and whole bed kit that has the theme of purple but not with stripes or circles, but instead with small flowers. It has to give you a feeling of being relaxed… The curtains should also be very light, probably just about the same colour of your walls. For pictures, the frames can be any shade of purple, but the pictures must be very colourful (to brighten up your room). Try to blend in white with the purple to give a soft and flowy feel. Good Luck!!! Oh and on the darker wall, is the best place for pictures, although it is your choice!!

How The Airlines’ Poor Customer Service Is Killing The Economy
In my teens my friends and I would occasionally marvel at incoming jets at LAX, standing under them as they thunderously swooped down from the sky above our craned heads.
Wow, to have the power and freedom to fly anywhere! To be served by pleasant, smiling professionals, and to be treated as VIP’s! Heaven wasn’t above the clouds; it was sleekly swooshing through them in ease and consummate comfort in the latest technological marvel.
To be paid for the privilege, as well? Imagine that!
Yesterday, I did a roundtrip from LAX to San Francisco to teach my class, “Best Practices in Negotiation.”
It was a long day, filled with trains, planes and cars. Leaving home at 3:30 a.m. I returned at 10:30 p.m.
There was a time, not long ago, when I would commute to Sacramento in the morning, consult, and return the same evening, several days in a row. Instead of checking in and out of hotels, it actually saved time.
But now, using planes as sky buses is virtually impossible.
Between security hassles, having to allocate more time at airports, and the uncanny proclivity of airlines to make flying obnoxious, avoiding travel is much more compelling than ever.
Peter Drucker once commiserated with me by noting that as a consultant “Your business is always where you, aren’t!” We fly to work, partly because as a famous broadcaster quipped: “An expert is an ordinary person more than a hundred miles from home.”
But aversion-to-aviation is what airlines are spawning. Poor customer service dampens demand for travel. That’s bad for business: theirs and mine. Diminishing my ardor to work in far-flung places has a multiplier effect.
I earn less and spend less. I add value to fewer clients, permitting their businesses to shrink, as well. They hire fewer people, and so the spiral worsens. Now, multiply me by tens of millions that feel the same way.
When people like me expect hassles, they think twice and three times about taking to once a sufficiently friendly, but now more mean jet stream.
Carriers contend they are committed to turning a profit at any cost. But they’re failing to see that collapsing demand can doom them faster than fluctuating oil prices, or even, grave and serious as they are, security-related considerations and inconveniences.
There are significant downside risks to systematically deleting such once taken-for-granted items as blankets and pillows and hot meals, while instituting restrictions and costs for checked and carried on luggage, and most recently, requiring premium prices for legroom and aisle seats in economy sections.
Charging more for a ticket booked through a phone call instead of online, and other pinpricks, collectively are leeching the life force out of business and vacation travelers.
Airlines may never again represent freedom and luxury and escape, as they did to my pals and I.
It’s one thing to take the fun out of flying. But by making business far more difficult to perform, airlines are pilfering our profits and sapping our motivation.
It makes even the most ardent free market zealot wonder if perhaps it’s time to consider re-regulating the airlines, for the good of all.
